Panafcon was awarded Consultancy Services to carry out Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Study for the proposed Sondu-Isebania 132 kV Transmission Line covering a distance of 136km. The Transmission Line has a wayleave corridor of 30m wide.
The ESIA Study identified Environmental and Social Impacts associated with the implementation of the project and developed appropriate mitigation measures and monitoring plan in accordance to the local environmental legislation. Potential impacts to farm lands, sensitive receptors, natural resources, National Parks/Conservation areas and cultural properties were also evaluated and appropriate mitigation measures proposed.
The ESIA Study Report containing the project Environmental Management Plan (EMP) including Monitoring was prepared and submitted to NEMA for review. An EIA License for project has been issued.
