Pan-African Consultants (PANAFCON) was formally incorporated on July 27, 1990, as a subsidiary of the DHV International Group of Companies (The Netherlands) after the agreement between the two firms Muticon Ltd of Nairobi-Kenya and DHV Beheer of the Netherlands. In 1993, the name was changed to PANAFCON Ltd. PANAFCON was later taken over by SSI, A DHV Company of South Africa in 2002, SSI was in turn part of The DHV Group [currently The Royal HaskoningDHV (RHDHV) Group]. Since 1 December 2009, Panafcon is wholly owned by Kenyans after a successful management buy out.
The firm has since its inception provided a range of professional consultancy services to private organizations, government, multi-lateral and bi-lateral agencies in Kenya and the Africa region.
